Git Codar is the open directory for AI agent skills.
What we do
We index every public skill that ships through the open skills CLI and rank them by anonymous install telemetry. Every skill page shows the source repo, install count, originating organization, agents the skill is most-used on, and security audit results from our partners.
Who runs it
Git Codar is an independent platform for the open agent skills ecosystem. The site aggregates and indexes public skills to help developers discover the best tools for their AI agents.
How skills are ranked
Rankings come from anonymous, deduplicated install counts collected by the skills CLI when users opt in. We track which skills are installed and on which agents, but no personal information or session content is collected.
How skills are reviewed
Every indexed skill goes through routine security audits performed by partner providers. Public results are visible on each skill page under the security audit section.
Where the data comes from
Skill listings, install counts, and rankings are aggregated from the public skills.sh leaderboard and enriched with repository metadata (stars, organizations) via the GitHub API. AI prompts are aggregated from public youmind.com sitemaps. We only index publicly available data, and every skill and prompt page links back to the original source.
How often the data is updated
The index is refreshed on a weekly cadence. Install counts and rankings reflect the most recent sync and may lag live source data by a few days.
